Started in early 2004, Outpost 221 is one of Spacefleet Online's newest flagship games, and takes place within the "Star Trek New Frontier" universe. It is also SFOL's only Outpost/Starbase simulation.

One of the original online Star Trek Role Playing organizations, Spacefleet Online, formerly sponsored by AOL, has been in existence since 1991. There are six games currently open and recruiting, with more on the way through early 2005.

The USS Endeavour, a Prometheus-class starship, has been running for over 11 years in Spacefleet Online, and takes place in the post-Star Trek Nemesis universe.
