An Air Force Special Operations MC-130 aircraft carrying 10 people crashed on takeoff in eastern Afghanistan, according to the U.S. Central Command. There were some survivors, the command said.

A U.S. Air Force MC-130P crashed early Wednesday in a remote section of eastern Afghanistan, injuring all eight crew members, according to a statement from U.S. Central Command.
