Promotes interaction between Christians and Buddhists in dialog form. It is not the goal to blend the distinct spiritual gems of Christianity and Buddhism and compromise our individual religions, but to promote mutual understanding between the parts in sober confrontation, when necessary.

Sanctuary for the study and practice of Christian meditation and prayer. Our purpose is to learn about the history and practice of the Christian contemplative way as rooted in the Gospels, and to explore its common ground with other ancient Wisdom teachings. We give special attention to the Christian-Buddhist dialogue.

Sponsored by the Buddhist Sangha Council of Southern California and the Catholic Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs. It was formed as an official, on-going, core group dialogue.
